About FileDestination
FileDestination is a collection of free, in-browser utilities for working with PDFs, images, audio, and documents. We build small, focused tools that do one job well — compress an image, merge a PDF, cut a song, convert a Word file — without asking you to upload a single byte.
Most online tool sites funnel your files through their servers. That means upload time, storage, privacy risk, and (often) a paywall. We took a different approach: we let your own browser do the work. If a task can be done locally, we build it that way.
How we work
Your files stay on your device
Every tool — PDF, image, audio, and document — runs entirely in your browser using modern web APIs like Canvas, the Web Audio API, and Web Crypto. Files are read locally, processed in memory, and never transmitted to any server. Close the tab and there's nothing left behind on our side.
Free, no account, no limits
You don't need to sign up, enter an email, or install anything. There are no daily caps or paywalled features. The tools are meant to be quick, private utilities you can open, use, and close.
Built for speed and reliability
Because processing happens on your own hardware, there's no queue, no upload time, and no bandwidth cost. That's why large files that would take minutes elsewhere finish in seconds here.
Independent and ad-supported
We keep the site free by showing unobtrusive advertising. Ads are the only reason the site exists — they don't add tracking of your files or any hidden data collection beyond standard ad cookies.
